Program A -After School Assistance (Grades 1 –12)
Homework is the cornerstone of education. It builds comprehension and the problem solving ability crucial for testing well. Today's homework load is often overwhelming. Students are expected to complete a myriad of assignments without any teacher assistance. At JC Education, our staff helps with every aspect of the student's workload, from daily assignments to special projects. More importantly, we strive to instill discipline and good study habits - prerequisites for success in school and life.
Program B -Individual Tutoring (Grades 1 –12)
Individual Tutoring in all subjects, including ESL; 3hr/week per subject, 4 weeks per month. Even the very best students may need extra assistance in a particularly challenging subject. Individual tutoring offers the student an opportunity to sharpen his/her understanding, make unseen connections, and firmly grasp material. JC Education offers such instruction in subjects such as: Math, English, Spanish, and Korean. PSAT/SAT/ACT Test Preparation(Grades 9 –12)
The SAT is the lens through which colleges view students. Strong scores offer the student more options in choosing a school. The SAT is a test like any other. As such, it is only intimidating if the student does not know what to expect. Thankfully, the exam is standardized, predictable, and teachable. In our program, students receive intensive SAT tutoring that is custom tailored to their needs. The day is divided in half between Math and Verbal instruction. Emphasis is placed on test taking techniques, strategies, and stamina.
