Dear students and parents,

Hello, Everyone!

We hope you are doing well and staying safe.  It is very important to keep adhering to CDC’s order of the Shelter-In-Place and practice social distancing in order to reduce the spread of virus and keep us safe. You can find CDC’s Recommendations for daily life and coping: How to care for your children under “General principles for talking to children” on the website here.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/talking-with-children.html

  1. Remain calm and reassuring. (Remember that children will react to both what you say and how you say it.)

  2. Make yourself available to listen and to talk. (Be sure children know they can come to you when they have questions.)

  3. Avoid language that might blame others and lead to stigma. (Remember that viruses can make anyone sick, regardless of a person’s race or ethnicity. Do not make assumptions.)

  4. Pay attention to what children see or hear on television, radio or online. (Too much information on one topic can lead to anxiety.)

  5. Provide information that is honest and accurate. (Give children information that is truthful and appropriate for the age and development level of the child.  Information on the Internet and social media may be based on rumors and inaccurate.)

  6. Teach children everyday actions to reduce the spread of germs. (Handwashing techniques, using hand sanitizers, stay away from people who are coughing or sneezing, etc.)

The schools will be closed for this entire semester. We will continue providing the high-quality educational assistance, including SAT/ACT test prep, TOEFL test prep, English, Math, Science, and many more subjects to all of our JC students via online individual sessions until we reopen our center. We have been giving online individual sessions to students outside of California as well as internationally since the year 2016. Our awesome tutors are highly experienced and skillful to interact virtually with students just as they would with a face-to-face basis.

In the event that the order of Shelter-In-Place and Practicing Social Distance continues thru the summer, our group summer camp will not be available at JC location. Instead, we may need to host a virtual summer camp. As a result, we are busy preparing virtual camps offering a wide range of summer learning opportunities with our in-depth materials.  Please keep your eye out for our new online summer camp schedules including the virtual workout sessions and home activity information.

JC Education will support all our students during this tough time so that they will be able to keep up their academic momentum, as well as their physical and emotional well-being.

Dear JC Families,

We hope that you are all having a wonderful summer and making many fun memories.

As the academic school year is around the corner, we wanted to remind and invite you to Information Night on Thursday, August 8th. We will provide the useful information on how to prepare your child for the new school year and to ensure that all the classes are well placed in their schedules. The programs offered in JC are Program A and Program B. Program A is the after-school homework assistance which guides students to go over their class assignments and review their lessons from school. Program B is the individual lesson throughout overall subjects. If you are interested in either of the programs, please contact us for further information. If you are in Program B and you need to re-schedule based on the upcoming fall activities, please contact us early so we can accommodate you.

Additionally we offer Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II and Trigonometry, Geometry and Calculus group sessions. Furthermore, JC has Writing, Critical Reading, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as well as the Test Prep classes such as SAT, ISEE, TOEFL, and HSPT.

We look forward to working with you and your student for the upcoming fall.

We are now accepting registration for classes in Fall 2019!

** FOR INDIVIDUAL TUTORING STUDENTS:

Please contact Ms. Tamami at the front desk to arrange your winter schedule for Thanksgiving and Winter Break. Please let us know at least three weeks in advance if you have plans to cancel your lessons; otherwise, we will assume that your regularly scheduled individual lessons will continue during school year’s Thanksgiving and Winter break on the days that JC is open.

(Since school will not be in session, for those who would like to continue lessons during the break, you may reschedule your lesson to earlier times in the day. We encourage you to schedule make-up lessons during December 18th through December 22nd, and December 27th through December 29th, if you are in town.)
